Birthday Fun!

As promised, here is my post about all the birthday fun I had last Thursday. On August 4, I turned 27 (wow time does truly fly when you are having fun) and I had a GREAT day! I did have to work that day but I didn’t mind. Growing up my birthday was always right smack bang in the middle of summer holidays which was awesome because got to celebrate it in another country with my family whilst on holiday, but it did mean you always had to have your ‘party’ way before or way after the holidays which didn’t make it quite so relevant if you know what I mean. Therefore working on my holiday these days, suits me just fine; that little extra attention is quite the treat I have to admit (OK yes I am a Leo so don’t judge me! Haha)

So here is my Birthday FOTD:

After my day at work where I was treated to cake, blowing out candles and being sung happy birthday to, I headed home to quickly get changed to meet my girlfriends in Clapham (South West London) for a lovely night out. We had wine, an amazing dinner, following by the yummiest cupcakes made for us my my friend and then headed out for a few cocktails.

Outfit wise I was wearing a dress I had picked up in the ZARA sale recently for only £29! I haven’t really worn anything that green before, but got lots of compliments so I am glad I got it! And yes…I am wearing my new Tiffany & Co silver ball earrings!

Check out this super cute little shed that’s in the garden of the restaurant we went to in Clapham:

“You’ll always be my friend. You know too much” Love it :)
Thanks to all my girls for a lovely evening out xoxo

Casual Glam Outfit

A few weeks ago I went for a fun weekend trip to Stockholm and while there I picked up a few new items! Check them out in this outfit post:

Blazer: Grey/Silver Blazer with zips by ZARA (get it here) // Top: White Lined t-shirt by ZARA (same style as these) // Pants: Black Skinny Cotton Trousers by MbyM (purchased in Stockholm) // Shoes: Gladiator heels from Aldo (last season) // Watch: Michael Kors

I spotted this jacket at ZARA in Stockholm and immediately fell in love with it & knew I had to have it! It’s a lovely stylish blazer, that can glam up any casual outfit. It’s got this cool rough woven fabric that has a mix of colours like silver, grey, white, a little gold plus even a tiny pink/orange thread which means you can wear it with lots of different outfits. I think the blazer looks very classic and expensive and it even reminds me a bit of designs by Isabel Marant.

I struggled to photograph the true colours of the fabric but hope this gives you an idea. Love the zips too, they give the jacket that bit of an edge! I wore this outfit recently when I was back home catching up a friend in Amsterdam, doing some shopping and afterwards we headed to a drinks party at a friends house.

On the nails I had:

Love this fun colour and check out that shine! :)

Am a little annoyed with myself however; when I tried on the black pants in Stockholm they fitted like a glove and I was like woooohooo BUT see this is my usual error! I should not buy pants that fit perfectly in the store, because (duh roz) pants stretch! Urgh, so I really love these trousers but now after wearing them 2-3 times, they’ve become all loose and saggy boohooo :( Will I ever learn?

Temperley for Twinings %

To celebrate the launch of their new and improved Earl Grey blend, iconic British tea brand Twinings has teamed up with another British icon, fashion designer Alice Temperley, to create an exclusive Temperley for Twinings print, which has been turned into a limited edition scarf!

Alice hand painted the beautiful design herself, representing the incredible journey of the original Earl Grey blend, created by Twinings in 1831, as it travelled across the oceans from China to the UK.
This exclusive print will be featured across a range of products, starting with this gorgeous scarf!
Below is a detail of Alice Temperley’s mood board which inspired the Temperley for Twinings Print:

The scarf is simply stunning; it’s huge (135cm x 135cm) it’s made of 100% silk and I love the soft yet striking combinations of different blues in the print. I feel it’s a very classic but modern scarf which goes with so many outfits. Plus it really seems to bring out the blue in my eyes :)

Here a recent outfit of the day with my Temperley for Twinings scarf:
Trousers: blue jeans by ZARA Basics
Top: White Linen t-shirt by ZARA (available in different colours online)
Shoes: Metallic Ballerina’s by ZARA (available online)
Watch: Michael Kors (available at ASOS)

Only 1000 of these scarves have been made so if you want to get your hands on one of these iconic scarves; you better be quick! The Temperley for Twinings scarf retails at £115 and can be purchased through the Twinings or Temperley website now!
What do you think girls? Do you like it – I know I do! :) xoxo

Loving Pink OOTD

I don’t know what it is, as I never used to be much of a ‘pink girl’, but I am just LOVING pink at the moment. Every time I am browsing the shops the first pieces that catch my eye are normally a bright pink! I picked up a cute bright pink silky tank top from ZARA a few weeks back so thought I’d share a recent OOTD with it. I decided to team it with jeans, a blazer and flat boots….

Dark Denim Skinny Jeans – River Island // Hot pink silky racerback tank top with gold zipped pocket by ZARA (TRF collection) // Black Blazer by Bershka // Black flat buckle boots

Another top I picked up recently (as part of my primark haul) is this ballerina top! It only cost me £3! So cheap but really like the cute print & love the frilly short sleeves…
