Last weekend when I was some running errands I ended up getting a wee bit distracted and had a sneaky little shopping excursion! Here are the new items I picked up..
Topshop Patterned Blanket Aline Skit – multi colour (link). This was a bit of an impulse purchase but just loved the bright colours, can’t wait to wear this on a sunny day! The skirt is quite small fitted so I got a size 10 (38) so it wasn’t too short on me // Topshop Vibrant Ballerinas in Coral (link). For only £16 I think I will get plenty of use out of these colourful comfy flats. Oh and I may have also ordered these ballerinas in another colour a few days later. What colour do you think?
These (MELA) patent wedge pumps were on sale at Nine West for £59 (link) and they just felt so comfortable and because of the wedge they are perfect for summer parties, like weddings or polo in the park (so you don’t sink into the grass) and being nude they will go with so many outfits.
White top with side buckle from ZARA (link). Think this will look great with a leather skirt or just a pair of skinny jeans and a statement necklace.
The Celina pointed court shoes from Miss KG, part of Kurt Geiger, £55 (link). I loved cut out detailing and the mid-heel (7cm) on these shoes. A simple pair of black heels that will go with most dresses or to dress up a pair of boyfriend jeans!
I really didn’t NEED any of these items, but I’m pretty happy with my shopping finds. What do you think of my new shopping purchases?
Today I am sharing a bit of postcode love for my old hood! I lived in Notting Hill for over 2 years and it is without a doubt one of my favourite areas in London. When a few weeks back I stumbled across the jewellery brand Whistle & Bango and I instantly fell in love with the concept of their postcode bangle collection. Whistle and Bango offer unique and beautiful designs celebrating their love of London. They currently sell bangles for the postcodes; SW6 – Fulham, SW3 – Chelsea, SW11 – Battersea, N1 – Islington, and of course the best postcode of all W11 – Notting Hill!
Notting Hill – W11 Bangle from Whistle & Bango £60 (link)
“The Jade green colour of the W11 bangle reflects the arty retro feel of Notting Hill and Portobello, the silver lining represents the development from the slums it was 50 years ago into the blooming happy place it is today.”
Another great thing is that for every bangle sold, £1 is donated to The Mother of Peace Charity to help the orphans in Zimbabwe!
Wearing the W11 Bangle here with my Tiffany & Co Heart Tag bracelet & Maison Miru Audrey Forever Love Bangle in Rose Gold (link). I love being able to share my love for Notting Hill like this with a piece of jewellery.
Would you like one of these bangles but they don’t offer your London postcode yet? Well you can vote for your postcode to be featured next HERE!
Twice a year, department stores that stock Estee Lauder hold special Gift With Purchase events. And HOORAY it is Estée Lauder Gift Time once again because this spring, Debenhams is holding their event from Sunday the 23rd February to Saturday the 15th of March. The concept is that the gift is available to any customer who buys two Estee Lauder products – one being foundation or skincare. The gift itself is a collection of advanced skincare products and bold, colourful makeup shades, all housed in a brightly designed bag. I can never resists offers like these so I got two new Estee Lauder products!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in 1C1 – I love this long wearing foundation, it’s perfect for a night out out without being really cake or heavy (as used in these smokey eye looks here & here) // Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipgloss in Shocking Pink (42). Ever since I picked up this Pure Color Gloss Collection at the airport a few years ago I’ve been a fan of the Pure Color glosses. Rock Candy (as seen here) is one of my favourite shades and I am sure Shocking Pink is going to another fave!
Now let’s check out the beautiful gift bag I got with it! Each gift with purchase bag contains; Advanced Night Repair Eye Crème (5ml) // DayWear Creme (deluxe gift size 15ml) // Dual-Ended Pure Color Intense Kajal EyeLiner in Blackened Black and Blackened Plum // Sumptuous Extreme Mascara (2.8ml) // Stress Relief Eye Mask.
Then you also get to choose between subtle or bold for your mini Pure Color Eyeshadow Quad and Pure Color Lipstick. I chose subtle and got the pretty little pink/purple eyeshadow quad with the eyeshadow shades; Pink Flash – Shimmer (01) // Lilac Whimsy – Satin (67) // Silver Bell – Shimmer (48) // Proactive Plum – Matte (14). The lipstick in the subtle gift pack is Pure Color in Pinkberry (82) which has a long lasting creme formula. Both are so pretty and I can’t wait to play with them.

The neon trend was pretty massive last spring & summer but it’s a trend I’m secretly still loving! Wearing neon is not for the faint-hearted but it’s actually quite easy to wear if you just add a pop of neon to a basic outfit in the form of an accessory. I found this great neon yellow necklace on EBay and it’s such a fun bold statement piece. I love wearing it with a fluffy grey knit, classic denim shirt or a little white dress for a night out. When wearing a pop of neon like this, the idea is to keep the rest of your outfit pretty simple!
Neon Sevilla necklace from EBay for only £4.99 (link – but it’s now out of stock!) // Grey knit jumper from H&M // White tee underneath from ZARA // Leather biker leggings from ZARA // On my nails I’m wearing Kiss it Better from Clinique (review here)
What do you think of this pop of neon look, something you’d wear?
As you know I love a statement necklace but sometimes a delicate necklace is also a perfect way to accessorise an outfit. Here I am wearing my new lightning bolt silver pendant necklace from Maison Miru. They created this piece to wear as an everyday reminder that, in the words of Eames from Inception: “you mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.” I love the concept behind this and the lightning bolt necklace is a fun, delicate yet bold statement accessory.
Eames Inspiration Pendant in Silver - £24 (link) Also available in gold. Rest out outfit: White silk shirt with pleated shoulders from ZARA // Burgundy waxed jeans from Gina Tricot (as seen here) // Watch by Michael Kors // Silver heart chain bracelet from Tiffany & Co // Gold Pyramid Stud Bracelet from Maison Miru (link) // Grey studded leather strap bracelet from street stall in NYC.
Also I just wanted to thank everyone that entered my recent Maison Miru Valentines Day giveaway. We had over 2450 entries and on Friday a lucky winner was chosen. Allison, huge congrats and I hope this makes your Valentines Day even better! For anyone that entered and didn’t win, remember that my exclusive 20% discount off of all Maison Miru jewels (if you use the following code at checkout: XOXOROZ) is still valid until February 14!
