Happy Hump Day everyone! Just a quick midweek motivational message from me today. I love this quote “We all have two lives. The second one starts when we realise we only have one!” Rachel from Nourish talks a lot on her blog (check it out!) about ‘inspiring the doers in this world to dream big, scheme, and take the steps everyday to design the kind of life they want to live’. So I thought I’d share her 5 ways to ditch the life plan + start living.
Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a fantastic week so far? I’ve been in my new job for just over a week now and am loving it. A new job means new people, new goals and new challenges which can all be pretty daunting. So when I saw the quote “Behind every successful woman is herself” the other day; it really spoke to me. It reminded me to always keep believing in myself because behind the success of most women would have been HER drive, HER determination, HER pushing herself and most of all her believing in HERSELF.
I read somewhere recently that when researchers asked twelve hundred elderly people what they had most regretted in life, they were expecting dramatic stories about addictions, adultery, failed relationships or bad business deals. But the truth turned out to be very different as most of them answered the question with one simple line “I wish I had worried less about all the small and unimportant things in my life”. So remember this when you are worrying and stressing about something; ask yourself the question if in 5 years it would really still matter! And if not, just let it go, let it flow and most of all….
It’s that time of the week again, time for some mid-week motivation. I have had the most amazing few days in Amsterdam with friends recently and being around so many of my favourite people reminded me that I truly so lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. I think it’s important to surround yourself with people that reflect you you want to be, and how you want to feel. Energies are contagious and I massively love my friends. Friends are your chosen family and without them my life would be so different. So this is a shout out to some of my favourite (girl) friends all over the world…who I think might be my soulmates! ;) Happy Hump Day!
“Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with.”

Hello! It’s that time of the week again, hump day! Well, it’s actually also my last Wednesday at my current job. Adventure is ahead and I am super excited. Sometimes I think about my life + my career and think…it didn’t all quite plan out at all as I had expected it would. I mean I never would have thought that I would live in New Zealand for 8 years, that I wouldn’t finish university, that I’d move to London and that I’d have a blog one day. But you know what…I try not to regret any decisions I’ve made in life, because I think they are all part of your path and your experience. So when I doubt myself and think for example; but I never got my degree – I just remember that “Your path is beautiful and crooked and just as it should be” because it’s made me, well ME!
Wow spring, or I could almost say summer has officially arrived in London. It’s been 22-23 degrees here in London this week; and I am absolutely loving it! I can’t believe it’s almost the end of April already actually, this year is flying by. The last few weeks have been busy and lots has been happening. And one of the biggest things that’s happened is probably that I have decided to resign from my corporate day job. Now this is not the first time I have changed jobs but this time I have accepted a new role that’s going to be quite a change from what I have been doing for the last few years. I am leaving the office world behind and going to spread my wings into the Fashion & Retail world focussing on marketing, branding, social media and operations for an up and coming optical / sunglasses brand. I am often a ‘play it safe‘ person but you know what I have learned over the years; old ways won’t open new doors!
Hello everyone. It’s that time of the week again! I’m feeling a bit snowed under this week; think it’s because of the two 4 day weeks and with Easter holidays in between, time is just flying by. I was in the New Forest with my family this weekend which was wonderful, but feel there is now quite a bit of life admin to catch up on.
Anyway, I came across ‘The Four Agreements’ by Miguel Ruiz the other day and think they are so simple, yet so powerful.
