L’Eau, for her by Narciso Rodriquez
I’m a big fan of Narciso Rodriquez fragrances, with For Her being one of my holy grail perfumes. So I was excited to learn that in February he launched a brand new fragrance to the brand. L’Eau, for her is in the same vein to the original but yet subtly different.
“There’s a sexy spontaneity that for her l’eau captures, rendering anew the mystery and timeless sensuality of the original for her.”~ Narciso Rodriguez
The perfume is designed to reflect femininity and sensuality, created by using a blend of floral top notes alongside cyclamen, jasmine, peony with a hint of rose and lily of the valley.
The new l’eau is a lovely dewy floral! It’s very soft, there is less musk than the previous versions and it dries to a light, easy, quiet but pretty fragrance. It is weekend worthy as well as office friendly. I just love it!
Narciso Rodriguez for her l’eau is available nationwide now and is priced at 32 for 30ml, £46 for 50ml and £66 for 100ml.

Introducing FLASH by Jimmy Choo & Giveaway!
A couple of months ago, I was invited to attend the top-secret launch party of Jimmy Choo’s new fragrance “FLASH” right at the top of one of the coolest buildings (the Gherkin) in town. However, at the time we were all sworn to secrecy to reveal anything about the name, bottle or the campaign until it had launched officially. In January the Jummy Choo FLASH perfume hit the stores which means I can now finally reveal everything about it. The launch party was quite the flashy affair, with the fragrance being unveiled amid hundreds of flashes reflecting the bottle’s inspiration – a paparazzo’s flashbulb!
FLASH, is the second fragrance by Jimmy Choo and Creative Directors Sandra Choi and Simon Holloway told us at the launch party all about the distinct vision they had for this perfume “FLASH is about the cool rush of excitement and the sense of power a woman feels when dressed in a pair of sexy shoes. Its character which is both heady and effervescent, captures this perfectly.”
The campaign for the fragrance, shot by photographer Steven Meisel featuring model Natasha Poly captures this vision to reflect the mood of luxury and glamour, while revealing a hidden sense of fun and the forbidden.
The fragrance itself, designed by perfumer Christine Nigel, is a gorgeous white floral scent featuring top notes of pink pepper and strawberry that give it a more modern and exotic twist.
Here is the lowdown:
Top Notes: Pink Pepper, Strawberry, Tangerine
Heart Notes: Tuberose, Jasmine, White Lily
Base Notes: Heliotrope, White Woods
I have been wearing this fragrance a lot in the last few months and have to say I really like it. It’s soft enough for day-time but also fun and sexy for a night out on the town! Apparently he designed the fragrance with the Jimmy Choo woman in mind who is self-confident, urban, sexy, rebellious and sophisticated.
Moi? With a spritz of this stuff…for sure ;)
Jimmy Choo FLASH EDP retail prices start from £36/€45 (for 40ml) and there is also a Body Lotion and Shower Gel. All available now worldwide. Is this a fragrance you’d be keen to try?
Well here is your chance; I am giving one lucky reader a chance to win one 100ml bottle EDP of FLASH – valued at £62/€95! It’s easy, peasy; just enter via the Rafflecopter form below! Entry is open internationally and closes 1 March 2013. GOOD LUCK :)
Sales, sales, sales…..
January is a difficult month for my mild shopping addiction. You can’t seem to walk around anywhere without noticing the huge SALE signs trying to lure you in, making it impossible for me to resist all the amazing bargains! And then these days it’s not only on the street we have to resist temptation from, no, also the web shops are doing their best to tempt me to spend, spend, spend! FeelUnique recently had their big winter sale and I ended up caving to their 30-50% discounts and got the following beauty purchases!
Kérastase – Ciment Thermique
St Tropez – Gradual Tan
Narciso Rodriguez – For Her
Kérastase Resistance Ciment Thermique Heat-Activated Reconstructor Milk (link) is an oldie but a goodie! I used to always use this product pre-blow dry on my hair but the last year I have hooked on Argan Oil. When I spotted this product in the sale it made me want to go back to an old favourite for a while. I seriously love this product! All I do is squeeze a small (coin size) amount in the palm of my hand, I then rub my hands together and run them through my hair to distribute the product. Then I just brush it to untangle and blow-dry as usual. Ciment Thermique a heat protector but also makes your hair shiny, smooth and super healthy looking! Oh and it smells pretty damn good too :)
The fragrance ‘For Her’ by Narciso Rodriguez (link) is one of my all time favourite perfumes. I always make sure I have a nice big bottle stashed at home but it’s also convenient to have a smaller version that you can put in your handbag to refresh yourself with when on the go. For when I go out at night time I usually bring a perfume atomizer, which fits into my clutch nicely, but this 30ml bottle will be perfect to carry around with me anytime!
I wasn’t so fond of the little white ghost I kept seeing in the mirror looking back at me in the recent months (Ahhh I need myself some SUNSHINE!) so I decided I could do with some gradual tanning lotion to give me a bit more of a healthy glow! I apply St Tropez Gradual Tanning Lotion (link) in Light/Medium about 1-2 a week only to my chest, arms and face area. Hey, its not like I’m parading around in a bikini anytime soon right…? I love this gradual tan because it doesn’t have a very strong smell and doesn’t stain my clothes but helps making me look a bit less vampire like during these cold winter months.
