Hey all! Sorry for the recent radio silence, life has just been a bit busy. Every night I would have plans to work on the blog but I’d either end up working late or plans would change and I’d be out with friends instead. Hey I am not complaining, life has been good but I also hate getting behind on my blog. Even though blogging is just a hobby for me, I like to keep it up to date and I have SO many posts sitting there in ‘draft’ mode that I just want to finish! Anyway I have just come back from 4 days in France for a long bank holiday weekend with friends. I had the most amazing time and my first day back at work yesterday was a bit of a struggle to catch up with the backlog of loads of emails. So I can’t believe it is actually wednesday already! Here some photos of my life recently via Instagram….
While out shopping at ZARA I ended up picking up a new winter scarf. I felt so guilty because it was a lovely sunny day outside, but I just fell in love with its softness & the mix plaid/herringbone print that I just had to get it (link) // One of my favourite go-to healthy dinners; Beef Broccoli with cauliflower rice. Recipe to follow! // Snack attack but guilt free; Kale Chips! Have you ever made these before? // Out for a Sunday morning walk around Kensington Park Gardens. Quite cool to think sometimes that Kate & William’s (and now also royal baby George) London house is just around the corner from my place!
Recent outfit selfie. I love mixing corporate vs hipster styles in the form of a pink pencil skirt with a light denim shirt // More belated birthday love, one of my best friends from NZ sent me a huge bunch of beautiful flowers! She also enclosed the most gorgeous quote with the roses “A single rose can be my garden; a single friend, my world.” It made my day!! // The new Balmain Eau D’Ivoire fragrance. Am really enjoying this soft summery french fruity Eau de Toilette at the moment (link).
// An orange jeans day – it’s so fun rocking a bit of colour! Necklace by Samantha Wills; as seen here.
Festival Hair by the great stylists from Brooks & Brooks at the Batiste stand at the VM Louder Lounge at V Festival. More photos from that epic fun adventure to follow and I also have a great little video tutorial post lined up to show you how to create this slightly different looking braid // Throwback thursday pic on Instagram. This is me and my brother and sister – can you guess which one is me? // Summer in the city. Water fountains and check chairs in Kings Cross during a lunchtime break // Rooftop cocktails at Radio Bar at the ME Hotel in London. How pretty is that drink? Oh and it tasted pretty damn delicious too :)
Stunning sunset over London from the rooftop bar. Am trying to make the most of the last summer weather because it’s almost September meaning autumn is not far away…// Cool wall art at the apartment my friends were renting in Biarritz, France // Most of my holiday in France was spent drinking wine and sangria and eating the best pintxo’s. My favourite bar in Biarritz was definitely Bar Jean! (link) // Me and my friend out for a few wines, feeling happy and relaxed on holiday.
The daily breakfast shop….when in France it just has to be croissants, yum!!! // Fun beach side walks with friends in Biarritz. The weather this weekend was a bit changeable; not the hot sunny weather I’d hoped for but we had a mix of sun and clouds with the occasional rain but overall I didn’t really care because we still had a the best time // Fun times with al fresco pre dinner drinks on the street at Le Comptoir Du Foie Gras which is one of the most popular tapas bars in Biarritz (link). After drinks we went for dinner at Baleak restaurant which I’d also recommend if you are ever in Biarritz // Oh and of course no holiday is complete without a jumping shot!! My friends laugh but I am becoming quite the jumping shot queen ;) For more photos of my holiday and to see general picture updates, follow me on Instagram @dutchessroz
So as you can see, life has been busy but this summer has been amazing and I have to say I am truly loving life! “I have found that if you love life, life will love you back!!”
So go out there and love life!
Happy Hump Day :)
