A few weekends ago I celebrated my 29th birthday by hosting a formal dinner party for me and my friends. I blogged about the party venue and shared some fun polaroids photos from the evening here. And as promised I will now show you more details about my birthday night makeup for that evening.
Outfit wise I wore an old favourite, my uber sparkly Ruth Tarvydas dress as also seen here (link). This dress is very in your face glamorous so I went for a black smokey eye to make the dress and my eyes stand out the most.
Quick outfit mirror selfie before heading out of the door. I love how the sequins on this dress are mental and actually make ‘shimmy’ noises when you swoosh it around! It’s the perfect party dress :) Anyway now let’s take a closer look at the makeup shall we?
Face: MAC Studio Finish Concealer NC20 // Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation // Bourjois Maxi Delight Bronzer (review here) // NARS Orgasm Blush (still my all time holy grail blush!) // Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow all over Radiance Crème (cheekbones & down middle of nose) review here.
Eyes: MAC paint pot in Blackground (all over lid as base, softly blended into crease) // MAC Carbon eye shadow (all over lid and lower lash line) // MAC Wedge eyeshadow (applied to crease to blend and soften the black) // MAC Vanilla Pigment (applied to tear duct and blended into MAC Carbon ) // MAC Smolder kohl eyeliner applied to waterline // L’Oréal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim (upper lashline) // Clinique bottom lash mascara (review here) // YSL Shocking Volume Mascara // Lips: MAC Dazzleglass lipgloss in Sugarrimmed
Sometimes you just can’t beat a black smokey eye! Do you like this look?
