Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes

Last night I was invited to visit the London Clinique HQ to check out their super cute candy store! The event was to introduce the newest member to the Chubby Stick collection; the Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes! All over the world, Clinique have won people’s hearts with their amazing Chubby Stick lip products (you can read my reviews on the popular Chubby Stick lip products here and here) and now they are expanding the line with eye candy; check out the Clinique Candy Store…

20130131-211308.jpg20130131-211349.jpgThe candy store was filled with lots of sweets and cute milkshakes for us to indulge in whilst we got the chance to check out their brand new Chubby Sticks Shadow Tint for Eyes! Just like the famous Chubby Stick lipsticks; these Shadow Sticks have a lovely creamy formula that deliver a pretty wash of sheer, build able, long-wearing colour  for your lids!

There are twelve super-wearable shades in the collection ranging from nudes to pinks, to violets and blues. The sticks are 100% fragrance free and have the same easy crayon-like barrel design to make on-the-go application a breeze.

Shades in the collection are: Bountiful Beige, Lots O’Latte, Fuller Fudge, Ample Amber, Whopping Willow, Portly Plum, Pink & Plenty, Curvaceous Coal, Lavish Lilac, Big Blue, Mighty Moss and Massive Midnight. Here are some pretty shades swatched on the back of my hand. The Chubby Shadow Sticks glide on smoothly because of their creamy formula but it does set into a more powdery finish that they say will stay put on your lids all day without creasing.

Bountiful Beige is definitely one of my favourites. It is a lovely shimmery champagne shade that I would use all over the lid on it’s own for a simple eye popping look, or I’d use it as a highlighter underneath my brows.  Some others shades that caught my eye were; Whopping Willow, Lots O’Latte, Fuller Fudge and Massive Midnight; which I think will provide a great base for a dark smokey eye look.

When I left the event I got given a lovely goodie bag filled with candy (nom nom…) and two of the new Chubby Sticks Shadow Tint for Eyes for me to play with at home. I can’t wait to try them to see if they are as long-lasting as they promise.

The new Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes (£16/€22) will be available nationwide at Clinique counters and online at from 15th February 2013.

What do you think; do you like the idea of these crayon-like Chubby Sticks for your eyes?

Enjoy the moment

Enjoy the moment…

It’s that time of the week again! The last few weeks have been super busy and I really can’t believe it is February already tomorrow. Sometimes I have to tell myself to just STOP & enjoy the moments because it is easy to wizz through life and forget to smell the roses….

Enjoy the moment

Happy Hump Day everyone! I hope you’ve had a fantastic first month of 2013 :)

My Instagram iPhone Cases & Giveaway!

One of my favourite smartphone apps is definitely Instagram and if, like me, you love it then you can follow me at dutchessroz. A few months ago I stumbled across this website called Castagram where you can create a personalised iPhone case from your own Instagram photos. The website is super easy to use, so straight away I started playing around with the various design options. First off, you select the iPhone model that you have, then you pick the type of design you want for your custom iPhone case and then it is just a matter of choosing your favourite images and dragging and dropping them to create your perfect case!

Besides using your personal Instagram pictures, you can also choose to upload any photos from your computer. So I decided to create an iPhone case with some of my favourite quotes, photos and motivational text images!

You have the option of a clear, black or white sided case and I chose a clear one for my quotes iPhone case but I also created a second case with photos of my favourite people; my friends and family! For that one I got a black side, which you can see below.

I have had these iPhone cases for a few months now and I have received lots of positive comments about them so I thought I’d spread the word on how you can get one too :) You can design and order your own personal Castagram online via their website: or via their App that you can download on iTunes (link). Prices start from $39.95 (approx £25) and they offer FREE worldwide shipping.

Like what you see? Well, I am giving you the chance to WIN a free Castagram for your phone here at Dutchess Roz! All you need to do is LIKE the Castagram Facebook Page (link) or FOLLOW them on Twitter (link) and leave a COMMENT below to enter! One lucky winner will be chosen next Saturday (9 Feb) and entries are open internationally! GOOD LUCK :)

Print, Lace & Leather Outfit 26.01.13

I picked up this leopard print/lace silk top at the Zara sale recently and decided to wear it out to a friends house party last night. This was my outfit of the night:

Watch – Michael Kors / Side Cross Bracelet – ASOS (link)

I like this kind of pretty/edgy look at the moment; which is easy to achieve by mixing prints and materials. I’m also loving my faux leather leggings from Zara’s new collection; the added knee panelling gives them a slight biker edge feel.

20130127-115715.jpgThey are perfect for a night out with heels or I will wear them during the day with a simple tee, oversized jumper and converse trainers. Are you also loving the leather look this winter?

A brand new Dutchess Roz!

You may notice something different about the blog today? Yes I am excited to announce that the move to WordPress was successful and that my brand spanking new blog is now (after a few technical issues…) back up and running! I have heard that some people are still experiencing error messages so I hope this will smooth itself out over the next 24 hours. For the transfer from Blogger to I had the help of the wonderful tech-savy Faye from Girl Does Geek and I really couldn’t have done it without her! To put my visions for the new blog into reality I enlisted the help of Blair from LEAP and together we created a fresh but still very ‘Dutchess’ looking website. I really hope you all like the new look?

My domain has not changed and this means that if you used to follow me via my old blogger domain then this should just automatically redirect to my new page. However now that I am on WordPress I am not using Google Friend Connect anymore BUT there are many other ways to keep following me; just check the sidebar under Socialise to find your preferred way to get your regular Dutchess fix :)

Now after a delicious breakfast at home, cooked by my lovely flatmate, I think today is going to be a rather nerdy Saturday to learn how to use WordPress….

Perfectly poached eggs, avocado and pancetta; one of my favourite breakfasts…YUM!

A BIG thank you; MWAH (blowing you a kiss) for following my weekly ramblings here on Dutchess Roz, it really means so much to me! If you ever have any questions or requests then please feel free to contact me directly because I love hearing from my readers. Have a great weekend everyone :)

Never miss the opportunity…

Today’s Happy Hump Day post is inspired by one of my very close friends.
Read her touching story
here on how her world changed eight years ago (link). Reading it made me, and many other people, reach out to their mums or people in their life – just tell them how much they love them!
Remember, time goes by fast; never miss the opportunity….

Happy Hump Day everyone ♥

PS: Exciting news; in the next day or two I will be changing from Blogger to WordPress and the blog will have a new look. I am a little nervous about the transfer but I have enlisted the help from people who actually know what they are doing when it comes to web-stuff so fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!

My NYE Sparkly Smokey Eye Makeup

This year my NYE celebrations weren’t anything too crazy and wild but more a local, fun low-key affair! With a group of my dear friends, we had booked several tables to enjoy a delicious set course NYE dinner at The Oak, accompanied by a few glasses of bubbly of course. The Oak is a cosy restaurant in Notting Hill and upstairs they have a great bar, where we ended up dancing until the wee hours on the first day of 2013.
Outfit wise I was wearing my Zara combined leather look dress (as seen here) accessorised with a H&M bejewelled bib collar necklace. So for my makeup I wanted a dark smokey eye but with a bit of sparkle because New Years is the one night where glitter is always acceptable :)
Products used in this makeup look:
Mix of Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation &  Estee Lauder Double Wear Desert Beige (2N1)
FYF Mineral Loose Impeccable Powder (as seen here)
Benefit High Beam Highlighter on my cheekbones/bridge of nose (see how to apply this here)
Sleek Brow Kit to fill in my brows
Clinique Superbalanced Bronzer Powder (as seen here)
NARS Orgasm Blush
MAC Paintpot in Blackground (base all over lid)
MAC Carbon eyeshadow (lid)
MAC Haux eyeshadow (blended into crease to soften the black)
Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow from NAKED Palette (lightly blended in crease)
MAC Eyeliner in Fascinating – white (applied to tearduct area)
MAC Vanilla Pigment (applied to tearduct and browbone areas to highlight)
AVON Supershock Gel eyeliner in black (applied to waterline)
L’Oréal Paris Super Liner Perfect Slim (upper lashline)
NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara
MAC Reflects Antique Gold Glitter (lightly padded onto lid for that perfect NYE sparkle!)
What do you think of my NYE makeup? I hope you all rang in the New Year with a BANG!
